MASTIC BEACH, NY — A Mastic Beach cat is less one of its one of its nine lives this week after being rescued, from nearly drowning in a marsh, by a group of Suffolk police officers.

When they arrived, they discovered "Binky" stranded among the water and reeds, so one of the officers grabbed a box, and carefully made his way through the marsh, before safely rescuing "the feline adventurer," police said.

"Binky" ended up being unharmed and was quickly reunited with his grateful owner.
