Beloved Mom Dies, Community Rallies To Help

MASTIC, NY — The community is coming together to help a woman who died after years of health issues.

A GoFundMe, "Dawn St. John," was created by friends to help a family in their time of great need.

"My friend, Frank St. John’s wife, passed away . . . and everyone is devastated," the GoFundMe said. "Dawn St. John was an amazing woman, wife, mother and grandmother and will be missed greatly by her family and friends. Due to a careless prank eight years at a gas station which left Dawn with many health issues and saw the decline of her health, she fought to have more good days than bad."

The funds produced will try to ease the financial burden of the funeral expenses for Frank and his family, the page said.
