Car Careens Straight Through The Front Of Shirley Feed Shop
"You thank your lucky stars and God that no one was hurt."

SHIRLEY, NY— Samantha Mullen was at work Saturday at Shirley Feed when a car came careening right through the front of the business.
Suffolk County Police said the incident took place at the Shirley shop at 2:45 p.m. No injuries were reported and no charges were filed, police said.
"What do you say and think after a day like today?" Mullen asked. "When a car crashes full blast off the highway and drives right through the front of your job, 10 feet from where you're standing! You thank your lucky stars and God that nobody was hurt. To think about the 'what ifs' is mind blowing."

She added: " It was just crazy — and so unbelievable that nobody was seriously hurt."

Mullen said she wanted to give a huge 'thank you' to the fire department, first responders, and police that responded and "our amazing customers and community. The response, visits, phone calls, and messages of concern were overwhelming and much appreciated. It's such a great feeling to be part of such a wonderful community and to know how much we mean to you — and how much you all mean to us."
