SHIRLEY, NY — Suffolk County police have released an image of a blue Subaru Outback they say was driven by a woman who hurled an object at another car, causing the window to smash, on William Floyd Parkway in Shirley back in June.

Police said the woman “threw an object at a car, shattering the rear window,” on the busy parkway just after 6 p.m. on June 13. The woman was described as black and was driving a blue Subaru Outback, that sped away in the wrong direction, police said.

In an image released by the Suffolk police, the Outback can be seen turning around in the middle of the northbound lane of William Floyd Parkway. It’s not clear how far the driver drove the wrong way on the busy highway, which is in front of several fast food restaurants.
