Firefighters Battle Blaze In Mastic Beach Home

The fire broke out in the occupied home just after 5 a.m., firefighters say.

MASTIC BEACH, NY — Firefighters raced to the scene of a house fire in Mastic Beach Tuesday morning, officials said.

Mastic Beach Fire Department and Mastic Beach Ambulance got a call at 5:14 a.m. about a working structure fire at 15 Knapp Rd. in an occupied dwelling, firefighters said.

Upon arrival, 1st Asst. Chief Tom Montreuil activated Suffolk County for mutual aid departments Mastic and Brookhaven Fire Departments to respond to the scene, firefighters said. Shirley Ambulance also responded.

No injuries were reported, the Mastic Beach Fire Department said; the fire is under investigation.
