Angel Espiet died tragically when his vehicle veered into traffic in Shirley last month, police say.

SHIRLEY, NY — The community is wrapping its arms around the family of a man killed in a Shirley crash last month.
A GoFundMe page, "Angel Espiet Funeral Arrangements," was created by his sister Danielle Mehlberg of Mastic Beach and has raised $830 of its $5,000 goal so far.
"We are planning arrangements to honor my brother Angel in the most beautiful way possible for the person with the most beautiful soul. Any help would be greatly appreciated to do this. Please, I just want to give him what he deserves. He was a awesome, caring brother, son and father. Thank you."
