Man Arrested After Shooting, Injuring 2 People In Mastic Beach Monday Night: Police
He initially fled the scene, police say.
MASTIC BEACH, NY — A Mastic Beach man was arrested after shooting and injuring two people Monday night, police said.
According to Suffolk County police, Matthew McCue, of Woodside Road, was arrested and charged with two counts of first-degree attempted assault; two counts of second-degree assault; second-degree criminal possession of a weapon; and first-degree reckless endangerment.
He was slated for arraignment Wednesday at First District Court in Central Islip.

According to Suffolk County police,the incident happened on Woodside Road in Mastic Beach at about 10 p.m.
A group of people were arguing in front of the home when a man drew a handgun and fired several shots at two of the people involved, police said.

The shooter fled the scene, police said.
The two who were shot, a 25-year-old man and a 34-year-old woman, were transported to local hospitals for treatment of non-life-threatening injuries, police said.
