Teen Injured In Mastic Motorcycle Crash: Cops

Police are asking a woman who may have witnessed the crash to contact them.

MASTIC, NY — A 17-year old motorcyclist was seriously hurt in a crash in Mastic Friday night, police said.

According to Suffolk County Police, the crash took place on Mastic Road and Moriches Avenue at 8:45 p.m.; Suffolk County Police Seventh Squad detectives are investigating.

Jhaelenn Brown of Bay Shore was driving a 2017 Honda motorcycle south on Mastic Road when he lost control of the vehicle, skidded and fell to the ground, police said.

He was transported by Mastic Ambulance to Stony Brook University Hospital for treatment of serious but non-life threatening injuries, police said.

A white sedan, driven by an adult female with blond hair, was seen in the area at the time of the crash; while not involved, the woman may have witnessed the incident and detectives would welcome the opportunity to speak with her or anyone else who may have information, police said.
