The Parent U was a true attempt at reaching out to our
community. I applaud the district (the
newbies/interims) for making the attempt.
However, it is my opinion that Edward Ehmann set this ball in motion
& he is NOT being held accountable.
With all due respect, The Ehmann’s both retired with huge pensions and
we are left with this mess! I am embarrassed
that Dr. Annunziato left due to the complete incompetency of the prior
administration. That is why he left, it
is no-brainer. His opinion of our
district’s status was something he did not hide. His children attend private schools and they
are Smithtown residents. Dr. King’s
children attend private schools. Our
community never had this information. I
do attend BOE meetings, PTA meetings, etc. and this was all designed to be kept
very quiet. Mrs. Waldron needs to retire
as does Mrs. Knox. Sorry ladies, but as
much as we appreciate your volunteerism, very poor decisions have been made
under your direction. The times have changed
as the laws and funding have. We need
people on this BOE that have a stronger financial background and backbone. What are the limits for service on the BOE? I know all positions have terms, but someone
please tell me there is an overall term limit within our BOE policy? If not, we need to create a petition on
change.org and demand an overall term limit.
30 years is way too long creating a sense of its Mrs. Waldron’s schools…she
is OUR volunteer, the district are our EMPLOYEES, Let’s go People!!
