At American Roadside Burgers, located on 80 East Main Street in Smithtown, diners can enjoy classic American style burgers and more, choose from a variety of toppings and even try the burger challenge.

American Roadside Burgers opened its first location in Smithtown by creator and acclaimed restaurateur John J. Tunney, who envisioned a casual dining experience that would redefine preconceptions of fast food. He did it with American Burger and now continues with American Roadside, according to the restaurant’s website.

The menu features everything from grilled and crispy chicken sandwiches and chicken wings to a veggie burger and classic Roadside burgers like the RoadStar – four cheeseburgers under one bun.

Diners who eat a RoadStar burger will get their names emblazoned on the Roadside Wall of Fame.

All of the burger toppings are free, including lettuce, tomatoes, pickles, roasted jalapenos, relish, onions, mushrooms, barbeque sauce, mayonnaise, ketchup and more.

The restaurant is opened Monday through Thursday from 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. and Friday and Saturday from 11 a.m. to 11 p.m.
