The “7 Sports Tips for the Christian Athlete” was written by famed high school and college basketball player, Teelah Grimes. Ms. Grimes is currently the Executive Assistant to the Superintendent and the JV Girls Basketball head coach at SCS. Since playing on the courts of Longwood High School to a full scholarship to play Division I basketball at Manhattan College and subsequently, Dowling College, Ms. Grimes has kept her Christianity a top priority, even as an athlete. Her tips can be applied to not only athletics, but in our daily lives. Enjoy!

2. Commit to excellence in discipline, effort, and teachability.
