8th Annual “Walk for a Guide Dog” Fundraiser
The Lions Club of The Islips will host the “Walk for a Guide Dog” fundraiser on October 18, 2015 at the East Islip Library (Front Parking Lot), 381 East Main St, East Islip. Registration begins at 8:30am; walk starts at 9:30am, rain or shine. “Walk for a Guide Dog” is a fun walk to benefit the Guide Dog Foundation for the Blind, Smithtown. It’s a casual 2 mile walk with some participants accompanied by their pet dogs. All proceeds will benefit the Guide Dog Foundation for the Blind. Cost: $100 for a T-Shirt Sponsor (no later than Oct 4), $20 Registration ($15 per Walker & Dog before Oct 12), free T-Shirts for the first 100 registrants, 50/50 raffle, Canine Costume Contest and more! A fun event for the whole family!
