Aoifa O'Donnell of Hauppauge Named 2015 Long Island ATHENA Leadership Award Finalist
Aoifa O'Donnell of Hauppauge was recently being named 2015 Finalist by ATHENA International and U.S. audit, tax and advisory firm KPMG.

Hauppauge, NY; March 4, 2015 – Ms. Aoifa O’Donnell LCSW, SAP of Hauppauge, NY was recently named 2015 Finalist by ATHENA International and U.S. audit, tax and advisory firm KPMG for the third annual Long Island ATHENA Leadership Award, recognizing outstanding women for professional excellence, community service and actively assisting women to attain leadership skills. Ms. O’Donnell currently serves as Chief Executive Officer of National EAP, Inc. in Hauppauge, NY, a leading comprehensive employee assistance programs (EAP) provider.
Among Ms. O’Donnell’s noted community contributions is co-founding Rayanna’s Arms. The non-profit organization has been sponsoring financially struggling families and children for the holidays since 2014, and has raised over $100,000 in donated gifts for over 600 Long Island children and their families.
As an avid volunteer and community participant, Ms. O’Donnell serves as an Advisory Board member for Adelphi University’s College of Nursing. She is an active member on the SHRM-LI Program Committee and also serves as co-chair of the NAMC Corporate Committee. Additionally, she supports a number of Long Island non-profit agencies including the American Heart Association and The Kidney Fund.

Prior to joining National EAP, Ms. O’ Donnell worked in a combination of clinical and administrative positions. She started her career as a researcher for Stony Brook University, where she conducted a Suffolk County, NY Needs Assessment. Upon its completion, she transferred to direct client care, working as a therapist with children and families in several settings, and held several administrative positions, including Director of the Link Program (a crisis intervention program to avert psychiatric hospitalization) for Suffolk County’s mental health organization The Pederson-Krag Center.
Ms. O’Donnell holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Social Work, a Master’s Degree in Social Welfare and credentials as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) and Substance Abuse Professional (SAP).
