JWG's Grand Hodgepodge — Believers & Transparent (2 poems)

Wherein JWG concludes that we are wraiths who bleed.

83. Believers

Believers,
Themselves, have little belief in People.
They’ve no trust to share.

Can you believe it?
This is a peculiar irony
I have seen, myself.

Others strive to be better
By following “rules” which are mostly good.
Unfortunately, there are bad “rules”.

A good “rule” is “Do unto Others...”
A bad “rule” is “Throw stones at glass houses.”
It is too bad that “rules” are needed to Live.

It is too bad that People
Think that rules are needed to fall in Love.
Loving cannot be regulated.

Love is the reason
To get along and be happy and gay
In the new sense of the word.

Life is Good
For those who indulge in the happiness
That Loving Trust brings.

84. Transparent

Transparent
Personalities are subjected to
Elucidation.

Justification
Falls by the wayside when they’re confronted.
There is no chance to explain.

The Populace deems to judge
With no consideration to the facts.
For them, looks, actions, and rumors count.

Yes, the rank and file think they know best
When it comes to interpreting false facts
Presented by ignorant noses and tongues.

Wearing one’s Heart on a sleeve
Is seen as a sign of weakness to mobs
Who cry out to have their prey destroyed.

Why must anger kill?
My anger does not impel me to kill.
I’m prone to cry in silence.

We can’t help
Who we truly are for that is what’s seen.
We are Wraiths who bleed.
