Classical
Training is requisite for instilling
Insightful values.

Learning from the past
Requires patience and obedience
To understand the Ancients.

For an Original, practicing
Naturally is never an issue.
The drive to create is instinctive.

There are not enough days to ponder
Finished creations that others enjoy.
Future projects are in the planning stages.

It is the creator’s task
Weaving new with proven old ideas
Which are unique to modern senses.

Tasks keep one busy
And interfere with considering why
Work is popular — or, not.

What is “Work”?
Thinking, problems solved, and perseverance.
Work is Classic Fun.

86. I Have Stilled

I have stilled
The eloquence that burned inside of me.
It smolders no more.

“Tell it like it is,”
I tell myself, but, refuse to listen
To a warped, broken record.

There is no one who listens
To the same piece that has no finale
To conclude a single-minded tune.

This is not new and unusual
In a close World of Individuals
Who become deaf to thinking outside the box.

Hearing only soothing words
Calms the shared desperation that festers
When unable to make decisions.

If one can’t face Life
Without Pandora’s encouraging Hope,
One lives within muddlement.

I kiss Hope
To awaken the neglected embers.
The flame burns brightly.
