How many years have you been practicing in Smithtown? I have practiced medicine for 11 years in Smithtown and 16 years all together.

What are your specialties? I specialize in general dermatology. I also specialize in cosmetic surgery such as botox, laser removal and liposuction. I usually treat people with acne, warts and skin cancer. In order to treat skin cancer, I do general screening. I then get a diagnosis by performing a biopsy. If it comes back positive, a surgeon in the practice then treats the patient. I like to educate patients about the dangers of skin cancer. I perform body checks, tell my patients to use sun block and inform them of other methods for prevention and treatment.

What are your hobbies outside of medicine? I enjoy Latin dancing very much.

What is your favorite thing about being a doctor in Smithtown? I like being able to help my patients and developing a bond with them. I usually become good friends with most of my patients and it makes me feel good that I have impacted their lives in a positive way. A hug and kiss from my patients tells me that I have helped change their lives for the better.
