Drunken Woman Crashes Into Pole With 3 Children In Car: SCPD
A fourth passenger was in the car, and the kids were ages 2, 3 and 7. The driver was charged with DWI, police say.

LAKE GROVE, NY — A drunken woman involved in a car crash Wednesday evening in Lake Grove while four passengers — three of them children — were in the car was arrested, Suffolk Police said.
Jordan Godfrey, 22, of Holbrook, was driving a 2018 Hyundai sedan southbound on Hawkins Avenue near Patricia Lane when she veered off the road and hit a utility pole around 5:35 p.m., police said.
Four passengers in the Hyundai, a 75-year-old woman, and three children ages 2, 3 and 7, were brought to Stony Brook University Hospital for treatment of minor injuries, police said. The children were released to the custody of a parent at the hospital. Godfrey was not injured.

Godfrey was charged with DWI, aggravated DWI with a child passenger 15 years old or younger (Leandra's Law) and three counts of endangering the welfare of a child.
Godfrey was held overnight at the Fourth Precinct and is scheduled to be arraigned at First District Court in Central Islip on Thursday.
