SCID, is a genetic disorder in which both "arms" (B cells and T cells) of the adaptive immune system are impaired due to a defect in one of several possi...ble genes. SCID is a severe form of heritable immunodeficiency. It is also known as the "bubble boy" disease.
Sophia requires around the clock care and treatments, but she is a very bright and happy baby. Her mind is not affected by this horrible disease. Let's continue to make her smile ...let's zumba for Sophia.
