Fallen Tree Causes Gas Leak In Head Of Harbor
Firefighters responded to the scene in the heat on Tuesday morning.

HEAD OF HARBOR, NY - The St. James Fire Department responded to a gas leak in Head of Harbor on Tuesday morning.
The leak was reported at 10:45 a.m. on Emmet Way.
A tree had broke and landed on a large propane tank, causing it to rupture.

The Stony Brook and Nesconset Fire Department also responded to the scene.
"Despite the heat, our brave men are woman are still operating the ruptured propane tank that can be smelt for miles," a post on the fire department Facebook page reads.
