Father and 2-Year-Old Son Hospitalized After Being Hit by Car
The two were struck while crossing West Jericho Turnpike, police say.
SMITHTOWN, NY - A father and his 2-year-old son were hospitalized after they were struck by a car while crossing the street in Smithtown on Wednesday evening, according to Suffolk Police.
The father was holding his son when a man driving a 2007 Ford Econoline struck them leaving the parking lot of 863 W. Jericho Turnpike at 6:20 p.m., police said.
The two were transported to Good Samaritan Hospital Medical Center in West Islip with non-life threatening injuries, police said.

The boy suffered a fracture to his right femur.
The driver stayed at the scene and no arrests were made.
