Fighting "Chemo Brain" Fog with BrainCore Neurofeedback -- Dr. Keri Chiappino
Chemo Brain is a debilitating side effect of chemotherapy. BrainCore Neurofeedback training helps clear the fog/regain mental clarity

A healthy brain is able to shift brain-wave states throughout the day to focus on specific tasks, but a brain that has suffered the neurotoxic effects of chemotherapy may become out of sync and remain in a wandering state, unable to focus or perform tasks with mental clarity. “Chemo brain” affects an untold number of cancer survivors, sapping them of energy, drive and pleasure and affecting their work life and relationships.
New reports suggest chemo brain may be linked to the widely-prescribed anthracycline chemotherapy drug used in breast cancer treatment to damage cancer cell DNA. Unfortunately, while the drug is effective in killing cancerous cells, it also affects the brain, impairing memory and cognitive skills. In addition, drugs to manage the nausea, anxiety, depression, insomnia and other side effects that often plague chemotherapy patients can also trigger brain-wave dysregulation.
Neurofeedback training is an effective, non-drug therapy that helps combat the symptoms of chemo brain by retraining abnormal brain-wave patterns into healthy new patterns, helping to improve mental clarity and relieve other neurological conditions that afflict many cancer survivors.
