High School East Students Selected for Photography Exhibit
Congrats to Emily Knott and Leesa Peterson!

Smithtown High School East students Emily Knott and Leesa Peterson recently had their photography on display at the New York State School Boards Association Conference in New York City.
The exhibit, co-sponsored by New York State Art Teachers Association and NYSSBA, was intended to highlight achievement in visual arts across the state in a range of mediums, techniques and genres.
The two students, who are now juniors, were both in Dianne Shanian’s photography class last school year when they created their artwork. Emily’s piece, “My Ground,” and Lessa’s piece, “Shadow of Me,” were both created using Adobe Photoshop software.
