ICYMI: 3 Smithtown Seniors Named National Merit Semifinalists

SMITHTOWN, NY — Three Smithtown Central School District students were named semifinalists in the annual National Merit Scholarship Program. Wenxiao Men from Smithtown High School East; and Fiona Needham and Christina Unkenholz from Smithtown High School West, secured their advancement.

Approximately 16,000 semifinalists will have an opportunity to continue in the competition for roughly 7,600 National Merit Scholarships valued at more than $30 million, according to the school district.
