Man Robbed at Gunpoint in Smith Haven Mall Parking Lot

Police are investigating an armed robbery that occurred in the parking lot of the Smith Haven Mall on Wednesday night.

According to police, a man was walking to his vehicle, a Nissan Altima, near the north end of the mall when he was approached by three men shortly after 9 p.m. One of the men displayed a handgun and demanded items that the victim was placing in his vehicle, police said.

The robbers fled with a laptop, three gold chains and a leather handbag, police said. The victim was not injured.

No arrests have been made.
