Man Robs Woman Of Car In Lake Grove Whole Foods Parking Lot

LAKE GROVE, NY — A woman was robbed of her car at gunpoint Monday night in a Lake Grove parking lot, the Suffolk County Police Department said.

The 23-year-old Lake Grove woman was sitting in the driver’s seat of a parked 2008 Chrysler Seebring in the parking lot of Whole Foods, at 120 New Moriches Road, when a man walked up to the car and asked her for directions, police said. He then pointed a handgun at the woman and told her to get out of the car, police said. She got out, and then the man drove off with her car, police said.

She called the police at 10:38 p.m. The woman was not injured.
