Man Uses Credit Card Stolen From Unlocked Car
He used the stolen card to buy hundreds of dollars worth of items at Foot Locker and is wanted for grand larceny, police say.
LAKE GROVE, NY — Suffolk County Crime Stoppers is seeking the public's help in finding the man who used a stolen credit card at a Lake Grove store in June.
The man entered the Foot Locker inside the Smith Haven Mall around 11:30 a.m. on June 26 and used a credit card that was stolen from an unlocked car parked in the mall parking lot earlier that day, police said. He bought roughly $500 worth of merchandise, police said. The man is wanted for grand larceny.
Police ask anyone with information to reach Suffolk County Crime Stoppers and leave an anonymous tip via phone call at 1-800-220-TIPS, texting "SCPD" and your message to "CRIMES" (274637) or by email at www.tipsubmit.com. A cash reward of up to $5,000 is offered for information that leads to an arrest.
