Motorcyclist Suffers Serious Injuries In Collision: SCPD

He crashed into a car that was turning into a Suffolk shopping center, police said.

SMITHTOWN, NY — A motorcyclist and car driver were involved in a collision Monday night in Smithtown, the Suffolk County Police Department said.

The man was driving the motorcycle southbound on Mount Pleasant Road when a woman turned her car into the shopping center around 8:30 p.m., police said. The motorcycle then collided with the car, police said.

The motorcyclist was transported to Stony Brook University Hospital with serious but non-life-threatening injuries, police said. The woman was not injured.
