Nesaquake Middle Student's Poetry Honored by Whitman Birthplace
Congrats to Connor Kirschbaum.

Nesaquake Middle School eighth-grader Connor Kirschbaum has won the 2015 Walt Whitman Birthplace Association’s poetry contest for grades 7-8.
Connor’s poem was selected from a pool of thousands of submissions from seventh and eighth-graders throughout Long Island. For this year’s contest, entrants were asked to speak the words, of one of the four elements of nature: Earth, Wind, Water or Fire. Connor (pictured displaying a letter of congratulations from the Whitman Birthplace Association) has been invited to an awards ceremony later this month where he and his work will be recognized.
