Are you ready to be inspired?  Visit our quaint cottage style shop to find painted furniture, antiques, home décor and handmade items from local artists.  You can choose your piece and choose your finish from the items we have in the shop or from our inventory of hundreds of quality pieces waiting to be reclaimed and refinished to fit your present lifestyle.  Would you rather DIY?  We are the LI Reps for Reclaim and Caromal Colours paints, the little “miracles in a jar” that cover everything with little or no prep.  These amazing paints are water based and eco friendly and differ from chalk paints as they do not need to be waxed after application. The company is family owned and the paints are manufactured in America!   Reclaim is a smooth, creamy paint that leaves an eggshell finish and Caromal Colours are very thick (like peanut butter) that can be tapped on to achieve a variety of finishes, including a stone look, leather, rustic, primitive, or wood look. Both paint lines can be used on formica countertops as well as wood, metal, laminate, tile, masonry, glass and even plastic.  I am offering furniture refinishing workshops so you can learn how to use these paints on a variety of surfaces.   Classes are also scheduled for basic decorative painting, stenciling and texturizing, altered art, mixed media, collage, watercolor, seasonal projects and many more.  You can also join us for our “Tipsy Canvas” Wine & Paint Parties.  Our first one is scheduled for June 15th from 6:30 to 9:00 pm, and the second is scheduled for July 13th.  Beth Wagner, a well known Long Island artist and I will be teaching these fun ”girl’s night out” events.  The cost is $45.00 and all supplies are included.  You can call the store at (631) 686-5168 or visit our website for more information:  www.facebook.com/creativecottagedesignstudio.
