PHOTO: Students Complete School District's Winter Explorations Program
Students met on Saturday mornings at Nesaquake Middle School to participate in a variety of hands-on learning activities.
Kindergarten through seventh grade students at the Smithtown Central School District completed the district's winter session Explorations Program, which provided students opportunities to participate in many hands-on learning activities, from creating chemical reactions to acting in skits, making homemade pizza, sculpting imaginative creatures and more.
Roughly 200 students participated Saturday mornings at Nesaquake Middle School and students from the high school's Tri-M Music Honor Society tutored fifth grade aspiring musicians.
Here are some photos from the activities.
