Police Nab Alleged Nesconset Gas Station Robber
The man was arrested Thursday for crimes he committed last month, police say.

Farmingville man was arrested Thursday for robbing two Suffolk County gas stations in February, police say.
A police investigation led to the arrest of Michael Riggs, 30, at his home at 6:20 p.m. for allegedly robbing:
- Exxon Gas, located at 241 Terry Road in Nesconset, at 7 p.m. on Feb. 23.
- Tower Gas, located at 425 Smithtown Road in Lake Ronkonkoma, at 3:30 p.m. on Feb. 26.
Police say Riggs entered both stores and demanded cash from the register. Both employees complied and Riggs allegedly fled the stores with an undisclosed amount of cash.

The investigation reviewed surveillance video which helped identify Riggs as the person allegedly responsible for the robberies.
He was charged with two counts of third degree robbery and will be arraigned Friday in First District Court in Central Islip.
