Police Seeking Man Who Stole Purse From Lake Grove Store

The man was inside the store with a woman and a young girl in a stroller, police say.

LAKE GROVE, NY - Police are seeking a man who stole a purse at a store at the Smith Haven Mall in Lake Grove last month.

A man was seen taking a purse from the counter of Victoria's Secret in the mall on December 10 at 6:35 p.m., police said.

The man was inside the store with a woman, and a young girl in a stroller.

The purse contained over $1,000 and a cell phone.

Suffolk County Crime Stoppers offers a cash reward of up to $5,000 for information that leads to an arrest.

Anyone with information about this crime is asked to call anonymously to Crime Stoppers at 1-800- 220-TIPS. All calls will be kept confidential.
