SMITHTOWN, NY — Meet Hamilton, this week’s Smithtown Animal Shelter Pet of the Week. Referred to as a "35-pound bundle of joy," Hamilton is a 6-year-old male Wirehaired Terrier Mix whose small size is the only thing little about him.

He was found in St. James and brought to the animal shelter. He was quickly adopted, but unfortunately surrendered back due to unknown family allergies.

Hamilton loves to run around the Dog Park and chew on his squeaky toys. He is very friendly, loves meeting new people, and is extremely active. He enjoys snuggling with the shelter's staff and volunteers and sharing his love. Hamilton would do well in a home with other dogs.
