Harley, a 6-year-old German Shepherd, is in need of a home.
SMITHTOWN, NY — Harley, a 6-year-old German Shepherd, was named the Smithtown Animal Shelter’s Pet of the Week. He lost his home when his owner died. He now needs a new home where he can put his troubles behind him and live a happy life.
In his short time at the shelter, staff and volunteers have already fallen in love with him, the shelter said. Harley is full of energy and excitement, and loves to play with everyone at the shelter. Harley would be an excellent addition to any home willing to welcome him.
If you are interested in meeting Harley, call the shelter ahead to schedule an hour to properly interact with him in a domestic setting, which includes its Meet and Greet Room, the dog runs and the Dog Walk trail.

Walk-In Hours at Smithtown Animal Shelter are currently Monday to Friday from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. and Saturday from 8 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Sundays are by appointment only.
