SMITHTOWN, NY - If you're looking for a new companion, consider starting your search at a local animal shelter like the Smithtown Animal Shelter.

One of their available pets is Sammie, a 6-year-old pit bull.

Sammie is a sweet & friendly six-year- old, Pit Bull, that loves both adults and children. She enjoys running after balls in our outside play areas; walks nicely on a leash and is more than happy to spend the day cuddling. She gets along with dogs who have a similar temperament.

She was recently returned back to the shelter because her owner moved and could no longer care for her. We are searching for a forever home for this affectionate princess.
