Smithtown Adoptable Pets Of The Week: Arnold, Bubble Wrap & Stamp
We've got a triple-header for you, as Arnold and the Black Cats (Bubble Wrap and Stamp) were named the Smithtown Pets of the Week.

SMITHTOWN, NY — The Smithtown Animal Shelter’s Pets of the Week are one of its newest pups, Arnold, and two fashionable kittens, Stamp and Bubble Wrap.
Arnold is a male pit bull terrier between 2 and 3 years old. Bubble Wrap and Stamp are a pair of 8-month-old sister kittens who were found at the post office.
Arnold is a gentle fellow named after the Terminator with a heart of gold himself, according to the shelter. He’s a big guy with a soft teddy bear disposition. He knows basic commands and gives lots of love and affection to everyone he meets. His well-mannered nature helps him do well with children, but the shelter feels he would prefer a home without other pets in it.

Bubble Wrap and Stamp were brought to the shelter as newborns in need of urgent medical care. Against all odds, they survived, and now they are trying their luck to find excellent homes. These kittens know that humans helped them to grow strong when they were babies. Because of this bond, they are extremely social and affectionate. Ideally, these kitties will be adopted together so they can continue to play together all day long, the shelter said.
Currently, there are a variety of male and female cats & kittens available to adopt or foster.

"If you are looking for a fun loving, yarn tossing ball of love, stop by the Kitten Nursery or the Cat Condos at the Smithtown Animal Shelter and find a PURR-fect soulmate or two," the shelter stated.
If you're looking to meet Arnold, please call ahead to schedule an hour to properly interact with him in a domestic setting, which includes the shelter's Meet and Greet Room, the dog runs and the Dog Walk trail. Family Pet Meet and Greets and at-home interactions are also welcome and an integral part of the adoption process.
Walk-In Hours at Smithtown Animal Shelter are currently Monday to Friday from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. and Saturday from 8 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Sundays are by appointment only.

All of the felines at the shelter are current on vaccines and have received a full workup (blood work, Feline HIV & Leukemia tested, physical exam etc.) by a board-certified veterinarian.
The Smithtown Animal Shelter's primary concern is finding the perfect home for each animal that finds his/her way to it. The Animal Control Officers at the Smithtown Animal Shelter will go out of their way to ensure both the rescued and rescuer are made for one another. If you have other pets, you can arrange to bring your four-legged family member into the shelter or they can set up an at-home meet & greet to see how your prospective new addition does with other family members, pets or the household itself.
