SMITHTOWN, NY — Posey and Ren, a pair of 5-month-old Domestic Shorthair kittens who want to love an owner just as they love each other, were named the Smithtown Animal Shelter Pets of the Week.

Posey is a female Tabby cat with brown and white fur, and Ren is a male with orange fur. These two babies are bonded siblings who can’t get enough of each other, with the shelter calling them "two peas in a pod."

Posey and Ren might be a little shy at first, but once they open up, they are extremely affectionate and playful. Posey has shown to be quite a fearless cat, and Ren likes to cuddle up with his much braver sister for protection.

Statistically, the older a cat is, the more difficult it becomes to place them in a good home. The shelter hopes to find them a home while they're still kittens.

Currently, there are a variety of male and female cats & kittens available to adopt or foster.
