Smithtown High School East Appoints New Principal

Dr. Kevin Simmons was recently appointed principal of Smithtown High School East starting on July 1.

Simmons previously served as principal of Nesaquake Middle School in the Smithtown Central School District since 2008.

He also prevously served as assistant principal at Nesaquake Middle School and Smithtown Middle School.

Leading up to his administrative duties, Simmons was a social studies teacher in the Syosset Central School District.

Simmons holds a doctorate in administration and supervision from St. John’s University in addition to his advanced graduate certificate in school district administration from Stony Brook University.
