Smithtown High School East’s Drama Club Donates To Local Charity

The club presented a check for $1,000 to Long Island Cares: The Harry Chapin Foundation on Monday.

SMITHTOWN, NY — Smithtown High School East’s Drama Club presented a check for $1,000 to Long Island Cares: The Harry Chapin Foundation on Monday, the school district announced.

The club raised money for the organization from its virtual play "10 Ways to Survive Life in a Quarantine."

The drama students performed the play on Dec. 5, and virtual attendees were invited to make a
donation. The money will be used for coronavirus pandemic-related relief across Long Island.
