Smithtown Juniors Getting Ready for College

District recently hosted a Grade 11 College Fair and Information Night.

The Smithtown Central School District’s Guidance and Related Student Services department recently hosted a Grade 11 College Fair and Information Night at Smithtown High School West.

Smithtown CSD Administrator for Guidance and Related Student Services Ingrid Hrvatin, guidance counselors and support staff were on hand to answer questions from Smithtown CSD juniors from High Schools East and West and their parents.

Guests had the opportunity to interact with admissions representatives from more than 95 colleges and universities regarding admission criteria, popular majors, finance, scholarships, social life, housing, athletics and much more. They were also provided with a list of important questions to ask when visiting colleges, as students and parents were actively engaged in dialogue throughout the evening. Counselors Kate Baker and Annemarie Freund coordinated the event.
