Smithtown Library Battle of the Books
Wednesdays, June 24, July 1, 8, 15 and 22 from 3:30 - 5:00 PM Fridays, July 24 and 31 from 4:00 - 5:00 PM
The Battle of the Books is a countywide “game-show” style competition. The questions are based on the 8 titles that will be released on May 15. Young Adults entering grades 6 through 9 may sign up to participate beginning June 1. Each Smithtown team will choose its own name and hold practices leading up to the Mock Battle which will be held at The Smithtown building on Monday, July 27 at 3:00 PM. Only six players are eligible to represent The Smithtown building’s team. The countywide competition will be held on Saturday, Aug 1 at Stony Brook University. If you enjoy reading and competing this is the program for you.
