Smithtown Man Charged With Stealing 4 Quads, 2 Dirt Bikes: Cops

The 20-year-old stole the vehicles from homes in Smithtown and Saint James within the past month.

SMITHTOWN, NY - A Smithtown man was arrested on Sunday for stealing four quads and two dirt bikes in Smithtown and Saint James this month, according to Suffolk Police.

According to police, 20-year-old Anthony Schook, was arrested for:

  • Stealing a 2004 Honda Quad, a 2004 Honda dirt bike, and cash from a home on Landing Meadow Road in Smithtown between 8 p.m. on Nov. 8 and 6 a.m. on Nov. 9.
  • Stealing a 2013 CAN-AM quad from a home on Dehan Street in Smithtown between 10:30 p.m. on Nov. 18 and 7:30 a.m. on Nov. 19.
  • Stealing a 2004 Yamaha quad from a home on Frank Street in Smithtown at 1:28 a.m. on Nov. 22.
  • Stealing a 2003 Honda dirt bike from a home at Fifty Acre Road in Saint James between 9 a.m. on Nov. 25 and 1:00 p.m. on Nov. 26.

In addition, Schook was arrested on Nov. 11 for stealing a Yamaha quad from Rose Street in Smithtown at 3:37 p.m. on Nov. 10, police said.

He was charged with two counts of second degree burglary and two counts of fourth degree grand larceny.

He is being held overnight and is scheduled to be arraigned on Monday.
