Smithtown Police Blotter: Money Stolen From LA Fitness Lockers

The stolen credit cards were used at other stores, police say.

The Suffolk County Police Department posted the following information. All charges are accusations and do not signify guilt.

  • Oct. 21: Grand larceny (fourth-degree) was reported on New Moriches Road in Lake Grove from Oct. 20 at 8:20 a.m. A person stole a wallet from a locker at LA Fitness and used the credit cards at multiple stores, police said.
  • Oct. 20: Three counts of grand larceny (fourth-degree) were reported on New Moriches Road in Lake Grove at 7:30 p.m. Cash and credit cards were stolen from lockers at LA Fitness, police said. The credit cards were later used at another business, police said.
  • Oct. 19: Criminal mischief (fourth-degree) was reported on East Main Street in Smithtown from Oct. 18 at 8 p.m. Someone broke the glass front door of Beauty by Judy, police said. Nothing was stolen from the store, police said.
  • Oct. 19: Criminal mischief (fourth-degree) was reported on West Main Street in Smithtown from Oct. 18 at 9:50 a.m. A person broke the front window of ARS Landscaping and Design, police said. Nothing was stolen from the store, police said.
