Smithtown School Budget Results Are In

In the school board member election, challenger Matthew Gribben defeated incumbent Grace Plourde​.

Smithtown residents approved the district’s $239.3 million proposed budget on Tuesday by a margin of 2421-693

The budget represents a 1.41 percent spending increase over the current year.

In the vote for Smithtown Board of Education members, incumbents Gladys Waldron and Joanne McEnroy were both re-elected while challenger Matthew Gribben defeated incumbent Grace Plourde for the three open seats.
