Two Smithtown Students Recognized In DAR Contest

Abigail Renner and Michael Bodor received honorable mentions in the DAR Anna Smith Strong Chapter essay contest.

From Smithtown Central School District: Smithtown High School West student Abigail Renner and Smithtown High School East student Michael Bodor received honorable mentions in the Daughters of the American Revolution Anna Smith Strong Chapter essay contest.

The two students were nominated by their teachers for demonstrating the qualities of good citizens. They submitted their transcripts, letters of recommendation, a personal essay and a written response to an essay prompt to the DAR contest. They were recognized with pins, certificates and monetary awards.
