Woman Stole Jewelry From Residents Of Lake Grove Nursing Home: Police

The 24-year-old stole several pieces of jewelry from eight different residents over the past month, police say.

LAKE GROVE, NY - A Middle Island woman was arrested on Wednesday for stealing jewelry from residents of a Lake Grove nursing home in May and June, according to Suffolk Police.

Following an investigation, police found that 24-year-old Staci McNair had been stealing jewelry from residents’ rooms at the Bristal Assisted Living on 2995 Middle Country Road, police said.

McNair, who was employed a housekeeper, stole numerous pieces of jewelry from eight different residents in May and June, police said.

She was charged with third degree grand larceny, six counts of fourth degree grand larceny, petty larceny and seventh degree criminal possession of a controlled substance, police said.
