Woman Struck, Killed In Route 347 Crash In Lake Grove: Police
A woman was struck by an SUV near Moriches Road late Monday night, police say.
LAKE GROVE, NY — A pedestrian was killed Monday night after being struck by a vehicle on Route 347 in Lake Grove, according to Suffolk County police.
Suffolk County Police Fourth Squad detectives said a female pedestrian was in the roadway on Route 347 at Moriches Road when an eastbound 2023 Honda HR-V struck her at around 10:15 p.m.
The pedestrian, who has not yet been identified by police, was pronounced dead at the scene by a physician assistant from the Office of the Suffolk County Medical Examiner, police said.

The driver of the Honda, identified as a 19-year old woman of East Northport, was not injured. The vehicle was impounded for a safety check, police said.
