• Yorktown assists with Route 35 water main repair (halstonmedia.com) — A major water main break in Somers near the Amawalk plant disrupted service, damaged nearby homes, and brought Somers Fire Department crews to assist affected residents along Route 35. The line, which also serves Yorktown, was isolated and repaired within about six hours, restoring pressure and reopening the road while hydrant flushing and water quality testing continued.
