• South Huntington Launching In-House Summer School Program (patch.com) — South Huntington families now have a no-cost, in-district summer school program at Stimson Middle School running July 6 to Aug. 13, focused on helping students earn credits and pass Regents exams. Led by local educators Dylan Clifford and Danielle Rodrigues, the program will serve 200–300 students with busing for morning periods and extensive academic and support staff. 
• South Huntington Fifth-Grader Wins Suffolk County Pool Safety Contest (patch.com) — A South Huntington fifth-grader from Maplewood Intermediate, Jessa Bruno, has won Suffolk County’s “Be Pool Smart” poster contest, and her artwork will promote pool safety across the county. Local Legislator Rebecca Sanin praised Jessa’s creativity and also recognized her mother and art teacher for supporting her success.
• The Mary Louis Academy's Badminton Team Causes Quite the ‘Racket' in Queens (thetablet.org) — The Mary Louis Academy in Queens runs the only Catholic high school badminton program in New York City, competing in a Long Island league that includes St. Anthony’s High School in South Huntington. Players and coaches describe how the sport builds skills, teamwork, and lasting friendships during a season filled with road trips and competitive matches.
