Bridgehampton, Pierson Boys Take County Titles
Bridgehampton Killer Bees are Class D county champs and Pierson Whalers take Class C county title.
Not just one, but two area boys high school basketball teams won countywide titles Monday night, The Sag Harbor Express reports.
The Pierson Whalers defeated the Stony Brook Bears 34-32 in the Class C championship, the first title for Whalers boys basketball since 1994, according to The Express. The Bridgehampton Killer Bees topped the Greenport Porters, 73-50, earning their first Class D title in 12 years.
